Welcome to the Dyslexia Centre North West. Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and learning difficulties services for adults and children.

The Dyslexia Centre North West is based in Preston. The service was founded by myself – Katie Nelson. I am an experienced teacher with a primary background. I taught in both Key Stage 1 and 2 for several years before retraining as a dyslexia specialist teacher and assessor in 2010. Since retraining my role has evolved into dyslexia teaching, assessing and training within schools.

We work with ESENDI services which provide specialist support for schools.

Please do contact us today if you require further information.

“At first we didn’t know whether a diagnosis of dyslexia was the way forward for Sarah. I’m so glad that we contacted you! She now has a good understanding of why she finds things difficult and she is now able to work out the hard bits! Her class teacher has commented on the improvement too. We couldn’t be happier.”
